Nothing is as rich and beautiful as an oil painting... Oils as a medium is just packed with pure color and can make a painting explode with color, mood and presence.
I have found oils to be one of my best tools to express myself as an artist. Oils seem to be the medium of choice for art collectors and oil paintings seem to endure the test of time, with the vibrance of color they offer.
As a medium, they are often difficult to use and can be very messy, however the results are worth the mess! Oils continuously teach the artist how to paint!
