Nothing is as personal and special as a portrait of someone or something special that you love. A portrait can be a person, a pet a horse, or I can even paint a scenic memory you cherish...
Below are just a few handfuls of the portraits I have done. There are many many more that I had not added to my online portfolio.
A painted portrait is something that will be treasured for a lifetime and can be passed down the generations.
Getting a portrait done of a person can be a very positive influence for that person, as you are showing them you cared so much, that you wanted a piece of art created of them. Portraits and commissions are really priceless as the beauty is truly in the eyes and heart of the beholder.

This is a painting of the late great Rabba Baron, a well known Crabbet Arabian Stallion
This stallion passed away but he was loved by many, someone cared enough to have this work of art created in his memory and honor.

Described as Single Subject ( one horse, dog, person or other subject with NO tack, intricate backgrounds, etc. and is a head shot )
Support, also known as the canvas is available in your choice of: a fine heavy weight water color paper made specifically for water colors, canvas panels ( that is canvas wrapped and glued around a hard board or card board core ) or stretched canvas.
ALL the standard canvases that I use are Gallery Wrapped with NO staples showing on the sides. They are 3/4" deep. I continue the painting all the way around so that framing is OPTIONAL and not needed.

LARGER THAN LIFE SIZES...
These are going to be significantly higher due to the higher cost of the blank canvas itself, excluding the prep materials and paint.
However they are also EXTRA THICK 1.5" Deep GALLERY WRAPPED Canvases that NEED NO FRAMING as all the sides are painted, So FRAMING IS OPTIONAL, so in the long run, you would save hundreds.
To support the canvas they are about 2.5 inches, hand stretched on kiln dried wooden frames. They are thick and are made from higher grade materials- these are the best of the best canvases.
They will also have to be shipped by UPS and possibly by Freight. The prices also very on the canvas's shape and availability. These are the Canvases seen in Museums and galleries and are TOP of the LINE and VERY VERY ELEGANT!
